Overview

Geoff has more than 40 years’ experience in the Australian Public Service in a wide range of management roles both as public servant and as a consultant.  During this period Geoff spent almost 15 years as a member of the Senior Executive Service.

Geoff has been extensively involved in the establishment of a number of agencies as a result of Machinery of Government changes including the identification and costing of resources to be transferred. In his role as the financial adviser in the transition to commercial organisation of the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS), Geoff established the costing, pricing and financial analysis and conducted negotiations with the then Department of Finance and Administration.

In addition to his role at Analytics Group, Geoff is currently the Acting Director Finance for the Southern NSW Local Health District providing strategic financial advice to the Chief Executive and the Board on the provision of health services to the community. At the profession level, Geoff is a central figure at CPA Australia. He was a founding member of the Public Sector Centre of Excellence (COE) and is co-author on a number of COE publications. In 2004 he was awarded a President’s Award for his work on Public Sector Accounting. Geoff is the ACT representative on CPA Australia’s Representative Council.
